Yeah well 8gb is minimum of ram i should have cause 6gb and less is pretty much a joke today :D
About Intel processors im quite not sure as i once looked at i5 6500 it was i think and it had great benchmarks with 1050ti but the price for the processor itself literally is the whole set of amd ryzen cpu+ram+mobo so i just simply couldnt afford it.
And no i don't to just buy cpu for all money i have, then save up for ram, then for mobo and maybe end up with smth better. Because it would take me longer than those components will be considered good for gaming.
Z170 or H110 MoBo that has DDR3 DIMMs and put in an i7-6700K. This will be the cheapest and strongest setup compared to the other suggestion but you'll have no upgrade path.
Also if i take ddr3 path then i can afford bonus 8gb ram which would make my system 16gb ram as i problably save up on some things.
You can use any 6th or 7th Gen CPU you like with LGA-1151. However a 7th Gen. Would require a BIOS update and for that you need a 6th Gen CPU.
However I highly recommend not to pursue that path if you not already got 16GB DDR3 RAM and are low on money the next year.
$322 after MIR ^.
You can still squeeze out a Ryzen 1200/16GB DDR4 / B350 Tomahawk under $350.
Cause 1300 is literally same speed as my current toaster and my experience is horrible in any cpu demanding game.
The problem you have now is your current a8 7600 is the bottom of the barrel and doesn't even have the same umfff as the lowly FX8350,so, that said the Ryzen 1200 @ 3.8-4ghz gets the ipc working a lot better than the a8 7600.

Go to 3:30 ^ for single core comparison against the last get i5.

A8 7600 is weak ^.

i3 8100 ^ 4 core 4 thread is worth a look at too in your budget.
X series Ryzen CPUs boost higher then non X CPUs.

That being true you'd still be overclocking the Ryzen otherwise no point in getting one at stock clocks so either X or non X would still be the same with clocks bumped up.
Higher clocks at lower voltages.
I'm familiar with a8 looking good in trash can xdd
