There were some rumors of a Vega 64 dual GPU being build by Asus around the time of the Vega launch.

Maybe because people don't want a GPU which needs 1000w PSU minimum and 4x 8pin.

Also AMD was planning at first to refresh Vega on 12nm just like Ryzen 12nm but they moved the Vega refresh back to early 2019 when 7nm is planned to be ready for mass production. So we might see a new Vega 128 there.

But this is all just wild speculation, only time will tell.

It was said that AMD was working on a new Vega, no 128. A multi GPU Vega 64 or directly two 64s in one ain't gonna happen because of heat and other obvious reasons. A card that's twice as strong as Vega 64 would be hard as hell for AMD to make. Even if they make it, they would need to sell it at some insane price given that it would perform like a Volta (directly doubling the Vega 64 performance).
