Creative labs kratos s5 2.1 speaker issue.
Ever since i got new speakers in December last year, if had strange issues with sound, the most prominent of which is the sound coming out of the wrong side in some games, and it only does it 50% of the time when launching those games. Games include, but aren’t limited to, GTA 5, Dishonored 2, Sea of Thieves, Minecraft...
When i do notice the reversed sound, when i switch the L/R outputs on the subwoofer, the problem still persists. I use my Z170 Asus pro gaming’s supremeFX onboard sound.

I’ve read through the manual, nothing really gives me more insight.
You may want to get a Creative Soundblaster audio card for it to work properly.
Are you telling us that if you're playing GameA and you physically move SpeakerL to SpeakerR and SpeakerR to SpeakerL that GameA still outputs sound reversed?

No, i didn’t physically move the speakers, but i swapped the plugs on the subwoofer for the speakers and the sound is still reversed through my headphones, which plugged into a volume knob that comes off the speakers or subwoofer, can’t remember exactly.
Try installing the onboard audio chipset's drivers and control panel software and see if any settings are set to reverse audio.

Does the sound signal get transferred to the stereo system through USB cord? Or is the USB system used for power only?

The speaker system plugs into an outlet for power, the USB transfers audio.

OK.

1. You will need to disable your onboard audio chipset via the BIOS.

2. Download and install the drivers for your speaker system, it is an external audio card and stereo reciever combo.

3. Make sure to learn the settings in there arnd see whast each one does...Install the latest of everyhting in step 2.....Starting With the latest drivers and then the firmware

It should be noted that some stereo recievers will output to specific speeakers desginated as left, right, center, etcetera etcetera....no matter where you plug them in. So it may be that one of your speakers are also plced incorrectly if your issues still persist after the driver installation.

Then you have a setting wrong somewhere, or have the wrong speakers hooked up to the wrong place. Do you have the SBX Connect software installed so that you can configure the speakers?

For instance...I have a Creative Soundblaster Omni external sound card. It comes with special software that allows me to specifically configure it.
This is what mine looks like, yours may be different

The sound issue of "Reverse Stereo" may actually be due to the fact that there's a setting needing to be changed in SoundBlaster Connect.

Big question, have you tried testing this when a sound involves being simulated behind you in any way?
