On windows 10 I had boot times running to login screen at 30 seconds or less.
My bios has a fast boot option and after picking apart windows the boot got pretty fast. It sped up and I noticed increased free resources.

It was an older build I found Pre creators update added a lot of shovel ware. Way to much to sift through so now I'm using Gnu/Linux.
PS: it's booting on a HDD. Some of fastest boots I've seen after removing files and configuring windows.(There is a Group Policy setting that gives user control before it's fully loaded) Although It's too much trouble to mess with windows more like a fight than anything. So I'd rather use a system that allows me to do as I wish.

I find fast boot amazing, It's not fast first start up.. however it is really quick once you try to 'fix' windows. It's what happened, the more you remove the faster it gets. The trick is removing enough and not breaking the system. I won't be able to help you on 1803, I know lots of the system but the new update was 196 gb so I never installed it.

PPS: some stuff you remove gets put into a hidden folder so you have to remove it twice :).

It could be your bios too or Asus tools I had problems with it eventually with it bugging out and giving false sensor reading and having to reinstall it. Or anti virus., could be lots. Even Nvidea 's drivers settings getting you stuck at bios screen.

and before someone says it i had only windows on the ssd and it booted slow

No you didn't because a fresh install of Windows doesn't take up 190 GB, as shown in your screenshot.

yes it doesent but you mis intrurbted my msg i said in it i freshly installed windows and it still booted slow im not saying its that big im saying when it was empty and only had windows it still booted slow lol

But still 1 partition...why...
My partition for the OS is just 50gb(and this is much just for the os) rest is another partition..(and still unformated free space..for the ssd itself..)its better

Partitioning a drive with multiple partitions is overcomplicating things for the average user.

Some OEM PC builders do this so I see a lot of PCs with a maxed out OS C: partition and an empty DATA D: partition.

An no, this isn't "better" in any way. If you care about your data you shouldn't be storing it in just one location. And besides that you can always create a Windows.old if the OS does get bricked.

You need that 500mb system reserved to boot. You can try using Grub instead of windows boot loader. That worked well for me when I was dual booting. Pretty sure the mint installer makes it really easy to install grub with windows already installed it will detect it and add it to the boot list.

I hope your system Reserved is first partition on your Drive. Check the Manager and it's probably the active partition already. That's probably ok. If it's not first maybe it could be cause for long boot.
You can make a GPT, which is useful for Uefi operating systems.you will have to start over though.

Check temperatures, try Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool to see if all CPU test passed, and run a fimware update to your ssd, if this doesn;t help I would recommend you to run a Windows recovery.:happyTom:

1x Partition is a sign the user did it correctly when it comes to OS install, especially on SSD
