2400G Stock Voltage Really High
My new build has a Ryzen 5 2400G. I was looking around in Ryzen Master to monitor temps while gaming, and I noticed the core voltage was at 1.45 volts. I don't know much about overclocking, but I know enough to know 1.45v is NOT a usual stock voltage. I have not messed around with any voltage settings, just selected the voltage in the BIOS to confirm it was set that high. Here is the rest of the build in case you need mobo specs or anything: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Flika1999/saved/q7cLD3
Thanks in advance!

That is the voltage it will run while boosting with XFR. The CPU is overclocking itself.

AMD chips can run at higher voltages then Intel chips

Ok, thank you!
Ok I double checked and the max voltage people recommend is 1.3v. And according to the article linked below the software is likely just wrong.

So should I turn down the voltage, or trust the software is overestimating the voltage?

Just assume the software to be wrong. Don't worry about it.

Thanks a bunch!
omega 1,4 and more is for extreme oc with rly good cooling. with 3,6 (3,9 boost) he will be fine with 1,2-1,3...maybe lower is working too
Unless there are Temp/Stability problems i wouldnt worry about it as long as the RAM's voltage is untouched, id be more worried about that than the CPUs.

lol he should look at ram voltages if he do change other voltages...my was 1,45 after changing others

Just one more question: how would I go about OCing later if I couldn't get an accurate voltage estimate?

You don't need software to check voltage. Set voltage in BIOS and assume it's doing what it's supposed to.

But it's already 1.45 in the BIOS, so if it's doing what it's supposed to I'm in trouble

Ryzen master is not the BIOS.

I know that. I also checked the BIOS.

leave the voltage in BIOS to auto. Just ignore what the software says.
