Great...
If you do not already own a DVD burner, go buy a cheap off-brand portable DVD burner capable of DVD-R (Verbatum makes one that uses two USB ports...one for data, one for power)...buy (specifically) DVD-R discs. If you have a DVD burner, good, do not bother buying another one, use it in stead.
Use the Winsows 10 1803 Media Creation toolkit found here:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10
Use the Media Creation Toolkit to Download the ISO of Build 1803
Donwload and install IMG Burn ( use option number 7)
http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download
Run the Media Creaton Toolkit you downloaded. Choose the option to use an ISO imgage to burn to a DVD. It will save it to your documents folder.
Insert a bank DVD-R into your DVD burner...
Once you know where the ISO is, Open up IMG Burn and select the "Write Image File To DIsc".
Browse for the image file you downloaded using the Media Creation Toolkit, click on it once, press "Open"

Click on "Write"
Make sure the following options are check marked if they are not already.
"Open tray when finished"
"Finialze Disc when Finished"
Finalizing the disc will not allow you to write to that Disc any more. When you have the option to open the tray when finished, it will open, and then close after a few seconds and then the disc will finalize.
After the tray opens again, it should be finished. Close IMG Burn, close the disc tray, and run the installation setup.
Options to make sure you have set...
Keep personal files and Apps
and when prompted if you want Windows to search for updates, choose "Not Now"...The installation process will now begin. Let it go until it is doneinstalling.
Setting to disable adterward is the Windows 10's fast startup option. Click on "Choose options currently unavailible"
https://imgur.com/a/D4yIo2A?desktop=1
Click Save Changes then restart your PC
It is updating - I watched it go from 76% to 77% - but it's being unbearably slow
Probably just my crappy download speed though, as recently a 5GB Smite update took an entire night
Why would I need a DVD burner? I don't think they sell Windows updates on DvDs...
and no they do not sell the updates on DVD...Micorsoft distributes imgae files from their own website for free.
Can't wait to update my GPU drivers like always...
