The best RX 580 in your opinion?
Im looking at the Gigabyte RX 580 Auroras XTR which from some of the reviews there saying they can get a stable OC all the way up to 2000-2200mhz. But finding one has been impossible does anyone from the US own one please tell me how much it costed or if your from Canada what price was it? Because PCPP has no price listed for it.

Otherwise I'm looking at the Gigabyte RX 580 Gaming and the MSI Gaming X, but don't know how far I can OC them.

Is it worth getting the Gigabyte RX 580 Auroras but not the XTR version?

Does the MSI Gaming X have RGB?

it's luck of the draw as to how far an individual gpu will overclock.

no way of telling, but i'd say at least 1400 gpu and 2050 on the memory.

that's for the non-xrt.

i had a gigabyte gtx770 oc , the card failed , i had to rma the card i think it was 4 times (took 4 months) before they got it right , worst support i have ever experienced , i will never do business with them again
i would avoid gigabyte at all costs
i've had really good expieriences with both asus and msi , no failures(gpu) and a solid product
i had a msi mobo blow a capacitor and the support was fast efficient and courteous .

strange when I RMA through the distributer the distributer always take 2-3 weeks until the send them to Gigabyte and Gigabyte themself takes 2-5 days max. If I send them straight to Gigabyte the GPU needs 1 day to reach them and one day to checked out and repaired and mostly gets sended back the same day so it reaches me after around 48h back in the store.

i think it was because i was 6 months away from being out of warranty , so the strung me along hoping i would just give up , and it was rma'd to gigabyte , worst support ever ,
glad you had a good experience , i know i didnt , one of the things i look for before buying is how well they support their product , for me gigabyte will never get a dime out of me . and i will and have told people to be wary of them

Always buy Sapphire products when buying Radeon. They have the best coolers on the market - including AIO liquid cooled GPUs. For example, their RX Vega cards have higher clocks and OC better than the Vega Liquid while running cooler and quieter.

For Polaris it doesn't matter as much, but Sapphire would still be my #1 choice.

You're putting way too much thought into all this.

An msi gaming will be fine, rgb I personally really don't care because rgb doesn't make it go any faster or maybe, hmmmm, lol.

I've got the MSI Armor 580 8GB bought before the increases for $318cdn now it's $489+ cdn.

Ps,

That should be your main question 1060 or 580 ^?

What do you mean?

you overclock the vram separately. for instance someone may get an overclock of 1450 mhz. then the memory can be overclocked anywhere from 2000-2250.

You want the best RX 580 card...??

''ASUS ROG Strix Radeon RX 580 T8G'' is the best RX 580 card in the market.
3 fans with massive Heatsink with backplate. And it is expensive.

Agreed. I also have one and no need to OC. $570 up here in the finally thawed north. I paid 420cad when I bought it last year.

True. The Sapphire RX 480 8gb was as cheap as the GTX 1060 3gb back in those days.
