Not usually, they tend to have slight discounts but that's about it.

Best bet is to try and pick up a second hand cars when people upgrade.

The first batch of the Volta GPU will likely be 1170 and 1180, as per usual. The current gen GPU will slowly downgrades to mid-tier products but retain the competitiveness for a good while longer, so the price won't drop steeply just yet.

I don't think you will see prices drop to much on Pascal cards excpecially seeing the little jump of 30% with the Titan V from a 1080 ti. We saw this jump from a 1080 to a 1080 ti.

A more refined gaming Volta/ampure/turning arch might yeild a little more performance but it won't be anything like the Maxwell to Pascal jump and even with that big of a jump Maxwell cards didn't get cheap and still aren't where you can find them.

Not rly thaat much, you can still buy a new 970 or 980 for $400 and more for example.

My advice, just keep an eye on the market, I did the same a while ago and bought a msi gaming x 1080 ti for ~ $810.
