i know but they are more expensive and i don't have enough money to buy them because i have to upgrade other parts too, given the list i write which one do you think is the better one?
Tbh, it's more or less a personal taste.
Evga, asus, msi, pny, kfa²/galax.. doesn't rly matter and performance is +/- the same.
Compare the warranty, make sure it will fit in your case and skip the basic line like asus and grab one with a better cooling like asus strix, kfa²/galax exoc, pny xlr8 or msi gaming for example.
I like the Zotac, because they have a more efficent cooling.
The 1060 for ex. has the heatpipes layered differently, cooling additional components like the elco's.
I used an Evga before (the 650ti) and i was suprised that it could run gta V lol. After the warranty was gone i took it apart and replaced the cooling grease with no issues aswell.
I'm not a fan of the Big brands, because i have the feeling i pay +40/50 bucks more just because it has Asus written on it.
I was contemplating to get a 1060 a while back and compared every brand and card just to find out, that the MSI and ASUS are even running on a lower clocking than the 70€ cheaper Zotac or gigabyte cards.
Plus .. when you register on Zotacs website and put in the serial number of the card, you get 3 years additional warranty (making it 5 instead of 2 years).
So for me when buying a card i take the whole package into consideration. If i get 5 years warranty but have to sacrifice a -100 on the clock of the card, ill go for warranty.
The only issue i had was that they come with automatic fan adjustment. Means they turn of the fans when below a certain temp.
Thing is when you leave it like it is, they clock down and turn the fans of at 45°..
if you then do something on your pc and the temp rises above that they turn back on again.
You stop doing something .. they turn off.
This gets annoying after a while, so what you do is going into the software of the card and adjusting your own Fan controll curve. Giving the card more space between temps.
Not just a Zotac issue though.
Just look at the EVGA screwup with early Pascal cards where they cut corners by not installing thermal pads into ACX coolers and now they fixed that with iCX coolers.
Personally I had always best experience with MSI cards but you should always check around first for individual reviews.
I personal like the look of Aorus cards and going for the Aorus cards with water cooling I stalled (for custom loop).I also like their customer support.
I also rather go for a GTX 1060 6GB with a dual fan setup instead of single fan setup.
Where I live you mostly get the Asus Dual for cheapest.
My sides!
i had a single fan card once (evga i believe) and they are just BS! They bring the performance with no trouble but the cooling ... playing with 80-90 c° tops under load isn't good for the card.
Also the 1060 is a pretty nice card! Stable work horse and should do you good for the next 3 years. If you are not a graphic ♥♥♥♥♥.
The Asus 1060 6GB (the white one) ranges around 450-470 € in Germany while other cards with better clocking range around 340-370 ... i would really consider.
Ran a small PCB GTX 570 from Zotac for 4.5 years. Cleaned it out good, applied new TIM and my younger brother used it for 3 years after I got done with it. Card is still going.
I have two GTX 980Ti AMP! Omega cards from Zotac. One I've had for just about 3 years now (max warranty time for the folks in USA) and the other has hit the 2.5 year mark. Both overclock well, run cool and no issues.
