Which MicroSD Card Should I Buy?
I just bought Avermedia Live Gamer Portable 2, I usually record for 30 minutes but I want to have a lot to spare. I read that it needs class 10 or above.

Which type, brand, size should I get?

I asked myself on Amazon but got no answer. :(

Thanks! :D

You need to figure out the bitrate, how much space 30 mins of recording occupy according to that and how much write speed you exactly need. But I'm assuming you might at least want 64gb. Better yet, 128. This would do.

I have the bigger SD card version of it, which does 300mb/s read to 150 write. Comes with SLC flash and is pretty damn good.

Are you sure it supports SDXC?

It needs to. It's a FHD 60p game recorder of decent quality. If it didn't how could the memory card slot be useful? Long recordings of higher frames than usual or high res take a lot of space.

That is, you have nothing but general considerations. Have you read the technical specifications on the product page? Another question: does it support exFAT which every modern SD card uses? "It needs to"?

I don’t know what bitrate it is. It is a H.264 encoder.

Do you honestly think it's going to be capped at 4gb per file with a file system as ancient as FAT32?

It supports what I suggested, just looked up. Some guessing would tell you that FHD 60p H.264 recording WILL take 4gb in no time. Duh.

If it's continuous/looping recording you must get a "high endurance" version otherwise warranty will be denied.
The high endurance are typically used in car Dashcams and worth the extra $. Google 'high endurance micro sd" for more info.
