BSOD AFTER GPU UPGRADE
Hi, today i've just upgrade my gpu from asus gt730 to asus strix gtx 1060 dc2o6g. So try to testing it and I just doing game update on steam because my game needs update. So the technician says that my new gpu may not compatible with windows 7 but windows 10. But after the technician installs the gpu drivers and see that the driver is fully working in windows 7. Now back to my story, so after few hours my computer suddenly BSOD. Ok so I thought its because my windows is not compatible. But when I ask my brother why this happening, he says it has nothing to do with the windows, he said my motherboard might not compatible with the gpu. I ask the technician and he says it might be because some of my programs are corrupt. And tells me to test it again and if the BSOD is happening again, it has to be windows 7. So I'm totally confused. Is it because my OS is not compatible? or is my motherboard that is not compatible? I'm giving my pc specs.

PSU : CORSAIR VS550
Motherboard : GIGABYTE GA-H81M-DS2
GPU : ASUS STRIX GTX1060 DC2O6G
CPU : intel i5-4460 3.2 GHz
RAM : 8GB
OS : windows 7 sp1 64bit

Go there:

http://www.geforce.com/drivers

and get latest drivers for GTX 1060, choose custom install and clean install option.

This has nothing to do with Windows or motherboard compatibility, both are fine for this card.
Also crashes in some games may happen even if everything is ok in your end because of the game bugs. One crash is not exactly pattern unless it's starts repeating in other games too.
Alright so I've tried test it by playing csgo. It's a very long story though. Well I've played csgo about 20 minutes and all the sudden the game closes by itself. I've tried playing csgo again, however its closes again about 15 minutes. So I've restart the computer and try opening geforce experience. It updates by itself automaticaly. So after that, I try playing tf2 with the resolution of 1920x1080, and then my monitor is out of range. So I have to change the resolution to 1280x720. Then just about 20 minutes of playing, the BSOD is happen again and this is the second time it happened. So I try playing zen pinball and no problems after playing about 17 minutes. I tried playing TF2 again and the resolution is going down to the lowest resolution. After playing about 2 rounds , no problems, no BSOD.

So today, I've just install the NVIDIA drivers and done the clean install and restart my computer. And then test csgo again, things getting a lot better until after about over half an hour, it crashed again like before. No errors just closed. I just don't get it, why this is happening.

Can you borrow a friend's PSU? Or temporarily yoink one from another PC in the house, perhaps while the owner is away?

Because I'm thinking PSU issue.

I'm not sure. Also one more thing i need to mentioned. My PC is power cable is connected to the UPS. Also this UPS output is 650VA/325W.

325W output from the ups is quite low. The PC won't require itself 325W but some power (about 20%) is lost on the PSU.
Ok so I test the tf2 again and this time, i've used the native resolution 1600x900. But then about 15 minutes, it crashed and it displays the error hl2.exe stopped working.
Have you tried uninstalling geforce driver then reinstalling to see if it work?
So you had a game crash not a BSoD (BlueScreen of Death)?

When I'm doing the clean install, the pervious driver will be removed. And the new driver will be installed.

Yeah, something like that.

I've no idea. It happened when I'm doing nothing than downloading and updating steam games. And then when I'm test it by playing tf2.

No clean install not removing the driver befor. its simply reinstall the programms and installs the driver over the other one... thats why DDU is recommended.

a BSoD is when your entire screen turns blue and stays blue and needs to be hard rebooted afterwards.

I know what BSoD is. What i meant is, yesterday when i'm testing Tf2 with the resolution of 1280x720, it suddenly blue screen. But today after I update the drivers and test tf2 again in 1600x900, it just crashed with the error message
