My friend has the same ones and he thinks it's really good for the price.
I stated facts and gave my advice on the matter.
Judgement? No. You can have opinions and tastes, as these are subjective. But you cannot avoid facts, as they are objective.
It most certainly was advice. You may not agree with it, and that is fine. But the facts remain that quality of audio from these gaming companies isn't good, as they use cheap drivers and tune them past distorting levels. It is also fact about how wireless audio is compressed. Nothing subjective in these statements. All objective, whether you like it or not.
So, just countering with a "no" is not a logical response to statistical data and other objective information.
I already did. The audio strap upgrade.
I didn't say my suggestion was the best. I also stated that getting decent audio, that also offers wireless capabilities, was pretty much impossible under $100. Unfortunately, sacrifices must be made, and the OP has made said sacrifices with his selection of the Void RGB.
If he wanted better audio, he would have either had to get the audio strap or go with an wired pair of headphones. It is clear that the OP really wanted the wireless feature for some reason, and is willing to sacrifice audio fidelity for that specific feature, to stay within the low budget.
While I do not agree with your decision, it is still your decision. I do not know why you and others took my comments as judgemental. They were merely factual, to inform. You may like the sound of something and consider it good, but that does not change the fact that the statistical data shows otherwise.
Enjoy the headset.
From the reviews I have seen on youtube, all of them has said that the audio quality is really good. Which convinced me to buy them. They fit my budget, they're wireless, and they have a mic. I didn't go with the strap because I use the vive's mic to talk in-game and I use my current headset (HyperX Cloud Alpha) to talk on Discord, and it's very unconventional to set up because I have to unplug my desktop mic and my speakers in order to do this and everytime I want to use my vive which is a hassel to keep doing. And I also have to worry about another wire (If you don't know why I just don't use the vive mic for both discord and in-game please refer to my previous comment explaining my setup). A wireless headset was a go to for me.
You can find good reviews for just about anything, especially gaming branded things.
If you go look up the technical specifications, they are not exactly good. Not even good for the money. Flashy, overpriced headset that can be beat in performance even by headphones a fraction of the price.
Instead of relying solely on subjective reviews, you should really look into objective specifications and measurements.
I understand why you want wireless, so I shouldn't have said "for some reason". I just don't believe the reason is enough to justify all these wants in such a low budget. With all these wants, sacrifice in some area had to happen, and you ended up sacrificing audio fidelity to secure the other features.
I guess man, as long as it suffices my needs, I'm happy.
True. In the end, if it works for you, then it works.
