144/165 FPS on 1080Ti and R7 1800X at 1440p?
I noticed that I was able to get a stable frame rate of 165 FPS on BO2 and CS:CO on the highest settings while on GTA IV and DayZ, I could not reach that frame at all, at least not stably.

Could any of you guys help me with this? Would it be possible to get a stably frame rate of 165 FPS as supported on my monitor on those games with the right settings? Could you guys also give me a list of games in which supports higher frame rates such as that one that aren't as demanding.

no, it won't be possible with an 1800x. you should go with an 8700k if you want the highest fps possible.

I doubt it. DayZ and GTA-IV both suffer from bad Optimization. They don't make effective or efficient use of your hardware, which is why you're getting a low framerate.

165 FPS itself may be a little over-ambitious for that hardware config. The 1080Ti is a monster, but I'm concerned about the R7. That's not really a gaming CPU, more of a workstation model that can do double-duty. You may find in some games the R7 costs you a lot of performance.

The more demanding a game, usually open world with lots of AI etc tend to run at lower FPS, as there is alot more going on, but from 100-120fps the increase is harder to notice, from 120-144 is very hard to spot and the difference from 144-165, well, I doubt people could tell which it is on a blind test, so I wouldn't worry to much.
