But if you aim something futureproof i5 8400 would be great.
8700K is totally useless for THAT GPU.
I consider the 8700k not worth it, you will be paying a heafty premuim over the 8600k for hyperthreading and a slightly higher clockspeed. And if you need threads you will be better off with the significantly cheaper 2600(x).
Thanks, I think I will go for the i5-8400 4,0Ghz. My full build would be this, thoughts?
Intel® Core™ i5-8400 4,0Ghz
NVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB
Gigabyte Z370P D3
Crucial 8GB DDR4-2133
NZXT Kraken X52
250GB SSD Crucial MX500
600 Watt Cooler Master
Corsair 100R Silent Edition
Is the overclocking possible?
You don't need OC, i5 8400 is like an OC'd i7 7700k.
Don't buy GIGABYTE, for PSU buy a CORSAIR TX550M.
I recommend you to get a PSU from Seasonic, EVGA, Corsair, Superflower or Bequiet. Avoid all other brands like the plague.
You don't need a liquid cooler, this CPU will include a stock cooler and it can not be overclocked. If you drop the liquid cooler you can buy 16gb of RAM.
Gigabyte is fine..
Everyone knows they have the highest failure rate.
As RAM with Intel you won't gain anything noticeable with higher than 2400 mhz.
OP grab the cheapest 2X4GB RAM sticks, 2400 mhz is best buy usually for price, but if 2133 mhz is much cheaper go for it.
You most certainly do see gains up to 15fps in some games like Battlefield 1. Games are becoming very RAM dependant.
The difference between 2133 and 3200Mhz is $20 at most.
Intel Core i5 8400
GTX 1060 (6GB) Nvidia-GeForce
MSI Z370 SLI PLUS
Corsair Vengeance RGB 3200MHZ DDR4 16GB Black
Scythe Mugen 5 (looks to be quieter than the stock cooler)
Samsung 860 EVO 250 GB (SSD)
550W Corsair VS550
NZXT Source 340 Elite
Avoid Corsair VS series PSUs, these are the cheapest low-quality chinabrand PSUs Corsair sells. Get a CX series minimum but I recommend the TX series.
Everything else looks great.
I changed some couple of things, so this is it then:
Intel Core i5 8400
NVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB
MSI Z370-A PRO
Corsair Dominator 16GB(3000Mhz)
Cooler Master Hyper H412R
Samsung 960 EVO 250GB (M.2)
Corsair CX550M
NZXT Source 340
I went with the things that were available (yes a company is building my pc, another company than my last post)
I will allow it, but just this one time.
I alredy have 3 1TB HDD's and yes like you see I'm very inexperienced with pc building, maybe next time I will build my own pc haha, thanks a lot for your help dude.
