Mucked up my DLL 64 file, can't launch any game (nvdia driver is fubar maybe)
Long story short, I was having an error with Stardew Valley and tried what this thread said https://steamcommunity.com/app/413150/discussions/0/357285562482000267/

Well stupid me forgot to make a copy of the DLL file that he said to replace and now I am unable to launch any game. My thinking is that the file is what allows it to detect what video driver I have and thus allow it to launch games. This is not limited to Steam since I can not do Overwatch as well. Im annoyed that I didnt think about making a copy of the file. Oddly enough, when I removed the new DLL that the guy had, with the old one that I sent to the trash, it wouldnt recognize it. Anyway, Im in need of some help in knowing what to do. So far, uninstalling and reinstall the nvidia driver sounds about right since its a driver issue but I dont know if there is more to do.

Go to Control Panel
WINKEY+X > Control Panel
Then click Programs and Features (or Uninstall an App)
Then uninstall Microsoft XNA 4.0

Once done, restart Windows and then download and install it again from here:

Yes, download and install each of them.
When all are completed, reboot once more and you should be fine.
If still issues, wipe GPU Drivers and redo them.
Verify any Steam Games that fail to load.

NEVER download loose DLL files from unknown sources!

Which DLL file was it and what is it originally associated with?

This was the address chain or whatever its called

C:/Windows/Microsoft.NET/assembly/GAC_32/Microsoft.Xna.Framework.Graphics/v4.0_4.0.0.0__842cf8be1de50553

And yeah, I really mucked up on breaking one of the most basic internet rules.

EDIT: I restarted my computer, had nvidia update itself (not full uninstall reinstall) and it fixed my nividia control panel that wasnt showing up for whatever reason. Going to uninstal nvidia driver and reinstall it in a bit to see if that helps unless there is a safe Microsoft site that has that particular DLL file

under the programs, I currently have XNA 3.1, 4.0 and 4.0 Refresh. Do I unstall just the 4.0, all three, or 4.0 and 4.0 Refresh?

You are a beautiful man, or woman. This fixed the issue! Im going to keep this thread in case of future issues or incase someone else I know has this issue. Thank you so much!
