Fps locked at 60 with my new 1080ti and new GeForce drivers
Hi, yesterday I change my 1070 with a inno3d gtx 1080ti,and with my great surprise all the games go at 60 fps. Without gaming, the fps were 165, I can see this in my Asus rog because it has the fps counter, but when I start playing fps drop down to 60.All parameter are OK. So I disinstall the last GeForce drivers and I install them from the cd of the grafic card and the fps are OK, someone have the same problem with new GeForce drivers of 05-2018 update?

Just DDU out all the GPU Drivers and redo them.
Get rid of any other GPU controlling apps.
Then try your games.
Just remember to set everything back again with NVIDIA Control Panel, as needed.

Yes when installing NVIDIA Driver suite, click Custom
Install the Forceware and PhysX; the rest listed are not needed, un-tick them.

I have a Rog and have vsync turned off. The monitor I have allows me to set the fps on the monitor itself. You may find better help using the Rog forum for your monitor. See here: https://rog.asus.com/forum as the people posting here will have your monitor and be more likely to give you helpful advice for the monitor/issue you have. Not all games will allow the fps to go that high, if it is limited. When I play gta it does not give me 144 fps, at most it's 90. It just depends on your game and Rog monitor you own.

I rather use GeForce experience to download my drivers than using the website as it downloads really slowly from the site for me, maybe lack of nearby servers.

GeForce experience also forces you to use the newest drivers. Which often have launchday bugs or instability. Your PC will perform better if you remove that App. It'll take longer to download, but at least you'll have drivers that work well.

Yeah I know the risk but ive never had any issues with it. I also need it for shadowplay which is great.
