Is 2GB VRAM enough for modern games?
Well, an gtx 1050 2gb cost 160$
But gtx 1050 3GB cost 230$ :(
I'm comfused which one should I buy, can 2gb handle the most of the game medium setting?

np. btw the 1050 will handle most games at medium-high 720p60. with some older titles running at 1080p60.

No, not for modern games.
Cathulhu 27 FEB 2018 a las 3:55
Technically, yes. Even FF XV is content listing a 2GB videocard as the minimum. For 720p with 30FPS.
But expect lowest settings and low resolutions as a result in the more demanding games. For 1080p gaming you should have at least 4GB.

Yes 2gb is enough. I play with a gtx 1050 but I defenatly want a better gpu and it is next on my upgrade list. But yes it will get you going.
I play battlefield 1, pubg, gta5, Destiny 2, and many others all at 1080p medium to high settings. 60+ fps

The game can run on a NVIDIA GEFORCE 9800GT. That's 512MB VRAM.

I would recommend an AMD RX580.

For newer titles no unless you're content with Medium to Low settings. You will need 4GB+ of VRAM if you wish to game at 1080p at an acceptable framerate. 1440p and higher you will need 8GB+ of VRAM.

Save up.

More and more games use even more then 4GB VRAM @1080p. Now dont say 720p or HD Ready in 2018... Even 1080p isnt 100% the norm anymore with more and more ppl switching to QHD or UHD.

If you ar eon budget, yes minimum 1050 Ti, if you can afford it or want to have more fun for the next time to come (if on budget it might not going to switch later) you should aim higher.

more or less if you stick to 1080p gaming. but a 1060 6gb would be nice - if prices weren't that high.

For modern game it's more than not enough

1050 Ti is the minimum GPU you want
When a GPU maxes out its VRAM your systems RAM will then be used to balance it out

Its in these instances where 16GB is better than 8GB.

So yeah, dont go for less than a 4GB VRAM GPU.

Just keep in mind we are in the process of new gpu generation which will raise the quality and minimum requirements of games. So if you buy mid end card now probably after a year you won't play much
