i7-7700k ideal voltage
Hey everyone, recently i was surfing on my PC and was curious what voltage is my CPU set in, im a amateur to check and went to BIOS and somehow found it there. So i saw CPU Voltage 1.276V. The cpu is in stock speeds. Is that ok or i should lower the voltage ? What voltage i should put ?

as long your under 1.4 your perfectly fine

Feel free to lower it if you want to drop your temps. Motherboards set voltage higher than most CPUs need to make sure that the boards supply enough volts for every CPU.

What works for you, me and someone else will not be the same.

For me running stock 4.2Ghz with 4.5Ghz Turbo boost, EIST on, Speed step OFF (not worth the extra volt spikes imo)

My system is stable using
Manual VCore 1.140

As volts don't drop during idle and lower Mhz I use Dynamic/offset voltage (DVID on Gigabyte boards) and also adjust Loadline calibration LLC and AVX calibration.

Dynamic -0.140
LLC - High
AVX - High

Is stable but I get Vcore spikes upto 1.224 using above settings

Dynamic -0.120
LLC - Standard
AVX - Standard

Is stable but I get Vcore spikes upto 1.200 using above settings

Neither Dynamic and LLC settings seems to affect my stability or temps running stock speeds. Sure it would make a difference when overclocking 4.8ghz+

If you want to tweak you volts drop it gradually and run a stress test. I'd say you should be able to drop it to 1.2 easily. Then drop it to 1.19, 1.18 repeat til system crashes then raise it back to what was stable and decrease by smaller increments.

Once you find lowest Vcore that is stable you need to set Dynaminc/offset.........sure someone else can explain that as I've got to go.

That's perfectly fine, for the most part anything below 1.4v is safe, depending on the rest of your hardware, you might want to try and overclock to get some extra performance :)

Its fine but id try and see if you can lower it i run mine at 1.285 for 4.8ghz so stock you should be able to get that down some
