Pick a mouse you like
Done
There are the generic mice that use the pmw3360 that I am curious about, like the Nixeus Revel[www.amazon.com] and the Plugable Performance Mouse[www.amazon.com] at the $30 mark and there is even an M65 clone, the Rii MMO[www.amazon.com] for $26.
Personally I've always had goodluck with Logitech. Still have an old one that is almost 20 years old as a backup.....missing one of the little rubber soles but rest still good.
Currently using a G502 Spectrum which I love. It's not the cheapest mouse but well worth the money imo.
I have owned razer, roccat, corsair, steel series, Logitech, and several different models of each brand.
My overall favorite brand is Logitech, for gaming mice only. After all these years only my Logitech gaming mice are the ones to survive in good working condition.
My favorite mouse on pure functionality is the roccat Kone pure. It also excels in form factor.
For mobile gaming mice I have to say my razer orichi. Good for really small hands too.
If I were to recommend which brand though, I would have to say find something in the Logitech brand that fits your needs, FPS, mmo, etc.
Also agree w/ Roccat, very high build quality on all models.
For those who enjoy solving simple problems with complex and ridiculously expensive high-tech engineering solutions.
Ridiculous and overpriced mice aside, I would recommend a Corsair M65. The Harpoon may look good, but they're unreliable and have several well-known design faults. The older M65 is known to work very well, and it's the best value-for-money FPS mouse currently on the market.
It has an extremely light weight, a DPI drop button and Pixart's 3360 Optical Sensor. Everything you need, and nothing you don't.
A mouse that doesn't break in the first five months? Good heavens! I've never imagined such a creature!
Jokes aside, Mionix are great. They have everything you want - reasonably light, solid build quality with a Pixart sensor.
I've got the EC1-A... best mouse I've ever had.
