That sounds bad.

Either there's a problem with the Mouse, it's Software or the USB port you're connecting it with. Let's start eliminating possible problems one by one, starting with the USB Port. Unplug the mouse and plug it into a different USB port, see if that makes any difference.

And forgive me for asking, but how on earth did you melt the wheel of your Rat 3?

Alright. Next there's software and hardware.

Have you noticed any pattern with the problem? Has it been disconnecting in any particular situations, IE under very heavy CPU load or when your internet drops out?

And have you tried re-installing the software?

At this point it's starting to look like the mouse has a mechanical problem.

3 times but looking at the corsair forums this is a common issue sadly

See f there are any firmware updates available, if that doesn't help, RMA it for a replacement.
I have the same mouse, but that problem you're having doesn't occur for me. You're probably experiencing a firmware issue of some sort. Re-install the firmware using CUE.

Check to see if there are any firmware updates available in the cue software itself,if it, RMA it, it's faulty.
