Quiet mic and breathing picked up?
So I got a new headset the Corsair Void pro, which is wired, but windows tried installing the drivers but couldnt, I tried googling if I can manually get the drivers but found some software for lighting and stuff, no drivers, I went to device manager and found no drivers for my headset... please help?

Edit: For some reason it didn't work when I plugged it in through the case USB, but if plugged in through the motherboard it works? Wierd.

Edit: so now I got the headset working my voice through the mic seemes kinda quiet, but my breathing through my nose is loud, any suggestions help, thanks.

Wired, I asked some other guys and they think it might be just a faulty headset, I did download CUE, and I have windows 7, the drivers don't seem to work and I tried getting windows to troubleshoot the problem but it found out it had to do with the USB, so it might be faulty.

I don't understand what your issue it; you install the software; it installs the driver and everything for the headset.

Sounds to me like your Win7 is screwed up. Why are you even still on that OS.

Install the software, plug in the headset, then it takes care of the rest.

That same software that controls the "lighting and stuff" also controls the audio for the headset.

Read the instruction manual if lost.

Read the instruction manual, told me some basic stuff, installed the software, apparently windows doesn't recognize it, like I said before it's probably just a faulty headset.

How is my Win 7 screwed up? Works fine with basically everything so far, except this headset, and why am I still on it? It's better than windows 8 and 10, and I'm more used to it, it's also helps my games run betterand it actually works better with my CPU.

Maybe. Hard to say.

Personally, I'd return it and get a proper pair of headphones.

Don't buy coz of the optic and some fancy led's..

Buy a decent senneheiser, beyerdynamic and a decent mic if u want quality.

I don't know what beyerdynamic or aenneheiser is, and I'm not buying it because of fancy LED's, but also for the comfort, the looks, the mic seems good, it has a pop filter for the mic, and I read reviews, also has 7.1

Reviews these days are more or less pointless..

If you want quality and comfort, buy a quality headphone and a decent mic and stratch the 7.1, led's etc. thing.

Sennheiser and Beyerdynamic are top notch brands for Headphones.

So instead of some crappy gaming headsets, I would spend the money on a decent headphone/mic combo.

Why not go for quality audio brands?

Avoid all these gaming brands. Don't fall for the 7.1 gimmick, as it is simulated, which any stereo headphones can do without any additional hardware or software. Avoid all the toys.

Go for quality headphones and a seperate mic, rather than a gaming headset.

Im still going for a headset because 1. It's just useful 2. Cheaper 3. If I don't want 7.1 pretty sure you can turn it off 4. I've had a headset before, it wasn't horrible, it was pretty good, and since I did YouTube mostly as a hobby I heard myself speak and I don't think I sound horrible,

Don't know why everyone's pressuring me to get a separate headset and mic, I'm not a famous streamer or YouTuber or anything lol.

Don't get ne wrong but..

Cheaper, well... you pay for the word gaming + all the fancy features like christmas lightning or simulated 7.1 but not for the sound/quality.

Yea you could maybe deactivate 7.1 , but what's the point of buying a 7.1 than?

And we are not talking about a headset/mic combo, that's pointless.

You get more by buying headphones and a seperate mic... has also nothing to do with youtube or streaming or being famous..

But you get more for the money.
Better quality, comfort, higher audio quality and so on.
And also no crap software is needed, just plug 'n play.

Not sure how much you care about quality and good audio, but if, gaming headsets are not rly worth the money.
