is upgrading from a r7 250 2gb to a gtx 750ti 4gb worth it

If you're planning to play any recent AAA games, then no. The GTX 750Ti hasn't remained as a great card in the last few years, so I'd recommend going for at least a GTX 1050Ti if you're planning on playing the latest games.

From an R7 GPU, yes. But I highly recommend the 1050 Ti, much better for running modern AAA games.

It's a bad time to upgrade right now so you may want to hold on. Even GTX 1050/1050 Ti are being affected.

there are scores of fake 750ti s that are bios flashed 550ti s out there so it is probably a fake

That is not a good deal, and there is no such 750 Ti with 4GB VRAM, they only have 2GB

$140 for a 750 ti even a 4gb is to much, I would keep looking. A quick look on Kijiji here in Canada I can get 770's for that price.

It makes no difference there is still 4gb 750 ti's period.

So for $120 Canadian you can get a 770 to upgrade from a 250 with a 330% performance improvement till new GPU prices come down. Ya totally not worth it.

"Upgrading" from a recent GPU(Even if less powerful) to a 2 Generations OLD GPU when a recent and more powerful for the most part GTX 1050 Ti is slightly more(when prices normalize) is Not an upgrade, its a waste of money.

and as i said
it DOES NOT matter that there Is a 4GB version that is not even powerful enough to properly utilize it, its not worth the price and a 1050 Ti is better and Also comes with 4GB.

A GTX 770 has 2GB which is also not worth it.
