I think my laptop is under performing

Hello i got a new laptop about 1 month ago but it seems to be underperforming...
My specs are:
CPU: AMD A12 9270P
GPU: RX 540
Mobo: BR Wartortle BS
4 GB ram
I am pretty sure its underperforming because i have tested a few games them being: CSGO,Dying Light,Fallout 4 and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2
The problem started somedays after i bought it.I was playing Dying Light and it was the first time i opened it.The menu was working ok and i was on max settings and 720p but when the game loaded my laptop restarted and after i opened the game again everthing was working like utter ♥♥♥♥.It didn't work like it was supposed to work like..
The gpu is kind-of a more powerful equivalent to the gt 1030 so all the games i tested should've ran with no problem.

Sheesh, fine. Not all AMD is “not that good” for gaming.

AMD is usually in budget builds (ryzen) or workstations (threadripper) and it has good uses, but not gaming as it gets outperformed by Intel due to higher single core power and Nvidia in GPU's. If you want a good system made with gaming in mind, you go with Intel+Nvidia, if you need a workstation you go with R7 / Threadripper / i9 and GPU of your choice (still prefer nvidia due to having much better drivers, but that's personal preference), and if you want a Crypto mining rig you go with AMD GPU's.

That laptop can barely run CSGO, it will never handle Dying Light or any other AAA game (even if old) on max. Lower everything to minimum settings and bump up the res to 1080p if your monitor handles it, you may be able to get 30 fps but im not really sure as AMD hardware is not that good for gaming, let alone laptop hardware.
Also the shutdown while playing is due to the laptop overheating, another reason you should lower settings.

Well hello, we have got ourselves another r e t a r d,about u saying that it can barely run csgo that is a big mistake my friend,csgo runs at low settings and 400 fps on comp is that barely to u?
Can anyone else please ignore this disscuassion some people that come here make me lose brain cells and i need them for school

Catalyst doesn't exist anymore, and I don't think you can even use R-Pro on standard GPUs.

How old are the drivers you're using? I'm on 18.1.1 and all of those things have been replaced.

First, calling me a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ because i said the truth, that your hardware is obsolete, is childish, second, as CSGO is CPU bound it is locked to about 300 fps on most mid to high end i5 - i7 CPU's, just look at some benchmarks. Now go to school and learn something before talking and lying to make yourself look good in front of others on a steam forum. Kids these days...

As i said, go to school and learn something, because that's not how it works. The cap is caused by hardware and there is no way to remove it, also, i gave useful information by telling you to do some stuff so you can maybe run games at 30 fps without overheating and you attack me because you can't accept that your laptop cannot handle any game with a decent framerate apart from csgo and some children-oriented games like minecraft and roblox.

Calling someone a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ for no reason is an attack. You said your PC shuts down when playing and that's probably caused by overheating, wich you can't do much about as it's a laptop. A laptop CPU cannot be upgraded. Again, please go study and learn something.

So you use 2+ years old beta driver because it exists and could cause performance issues in games. Come here complain and call people names because you can. My PC was underperforming once in games, I was getting like 1-2FPS in Dirt 2, I updated the driver and suddenly it was running how it should.
