I think my laptop is under performing
Hello i got a new laptop about 1 month ago but it seems to be underperforming...
My specs are:
CPU: AMD A12 9270P
GPU: RX 540
Mobo: BR Wartortle BS
4 GB ram
I am pretty sure its underperforming because i have tested a few games them being: CSGO,Dying Light,Fallout 4 and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2
The problem started somedays after i bought it.I was playing Dying Light and it was the first time i opened it.The menu was working ok and i was on max settings and 720p but when the game loaded my laptop restarted and after i opened the game again everthing was working like utter ♥♥♥♥.It didn't work like it was supposed to work like..
The gpu is kind-of a more powerful equivalent to the gt 1030 so all the games i tested should've ran with no problem.

GT 1030 is desktop GPU. Laptop version called MX150 and less powerful. RX540 is even less powerful than MX 150.
But graphics is still good enough. It should be about the same as GTX 860M/950M.
So, you can expect to be able to play, say, Fallout 4 on low settings with more than 40 FPS AVG.
Try to lower res to 1280x720. Unfortunately your CPU is extremely weak and you will have significately lower FPS than thouse who have Intel quads (your CPU, despite its name, has only 2 real cores).

Your PC isn't powerful enough to run any of those games except for CSGO

The problem is that laptop is low quality plus it is a laptop so it will be another issue.

I low grade cpu + gpu and only 4 gigs of ram will not run many modern games.

For a start your Gpu is only just better than some things than the Gpu listed as the minimum requirement for Dying Light but it is also worse in other areas. I doubt very much it is under performing it just really isn't a powerful laptop...everything barely meets the minimum requirement for the games you listed.

Personally I'd try to return it if I could as it really is suitable for your needs.

The hardware is rly weak for gaming..

All u can do/try, lower res and settings, try different drivers and tweaks for game xzy.

The fact you are trying max settings instead of low / medium is the first major issue.

Others also told you, like myself, you are trying to run the games way beyond your hardwares capabilities, turn settings down and see how they run, max settings running well isn't something a budget laptop will be able to do, sadly. Also, the 10 series laptop cards are the same as their desktop counterparts, I don't think the same s true for the AMD offerings yet.

That laptop can barely run CSGO, it will never handle Dying Light or any other AAA game (even if old) on max. Lower everything to minimum settings and bump up the res to 1080p if your monitor handles it, you may be able to get 30 fps but im not really sure as AMD hardware is not that good for gaming, let alone laptop hardware.
Also the shutdown while playing is due to the laptop overheating, another reason you should lower settings.

Not all AMD is bad.

I said it is not that good for gaming, not that it's bad.

Sheesh, fine. Not all AMD is “not that good” for gaming.
