Bent CPU pins
Hello. These days,I bent like 6 pins from my Ryzen 3 CPU. When I fixed roughtly,i put my CPU and cooler in my motherboard, which it caused my mobo could be supplied, but it didn't work.(maybe it's fried). Now the CPU and mobo are in a service but they can't do anything. The question is Can i test my cpu in a new mobo without risks? (if the service would have fixed the affected pins.)

Yes you can test the CPU in another mobo without any issues. If the CPU is dead it will not damage the motherboard.
By using the bent pins CPU, you have likely damaged you motherboard as well. There is no real way to fix this beyond buyoing a new set....The contacts on the motheboard are damaged now so you cannot just simply buy a new CPU to fix the issue.

I really suggest looking on PCPartPicker for replacements.
The service said that the motherboard is likely DEAD but the CPU is probably ALIVE,so testing my CPU in another mobo could affect the new motherboard?

The pins were bent, and you tried to aproximate on how to fix them them. It is an AM4 socket CPU. The fixed pins damaged the contacts ont he motherboard...so they will also damage the contacts on the new motherboard. It would take a machine to fix them. The salder contact points on the CPU may be still intact...but the bent pins, are the problem. They pins on an AM4 socket have to be precise with zero room for error. This is why AMD has users slide the CPU into a slot when installing a Ryzen CPU..

So the short answer is this...your fix might look even, but it is not at all even and will damage the next motherboard you try to use the CPU on.

Even if the service could fix the pins?

What service claims to be able to do that? Is there a website you can dhow us? Is the service AMD's RMA service? If the former, I would stick to local shops instead. If it is AMD's RMA service , they will merely replace the CPU. If the pins were like that on arrival, they will replace the cpu for free..if not, they will charge you for a new one. Either way the contact points the AM4 CPU Socket on the motherboard have been damged and it is useless. Even if the contact leads on the CPU were fixed, you will still be stuck with a dead motherboard. If AMD ends up charging you for the new CPU, you will be paying for both the CPU and the Motherboard.

By the way...what motherboard did you try this on?

They might be able to fix the pins if the damage isn't to severe. But it will probably be the first time these people fix CPU pins so I doubt they will do a better job at it then you.

People often use a pencil pen and a razor for realigning the pins.

AM4 CPUs are PGA. They connect the same way as as the old AM4 and FM2 CPUs.

You can't damage the socket on the motherboard unless you throw a hammer at it. The motherboard doesn't have pins only the CPU does.

Then explain why the motherboard is dead.

Also..PGA uses pins to connect to the motherboard....

The motherboard is Asrock AB350M-HDV. I don't really care about the dead motherboard but the CPU. I asked if the service (which is not AMD RMA) fix the bent pins, can I test my CPU on a new motherboard?

How am I supposed to know what killed the mobo? If it is dead at all.

If the mobo is dead it wasn't the CPU that killed it.

The service said that I didn't fix bent pins well and that caused this problem.

You are delusional.

Nothing in the OP tells you how the mobo died. (If it is dead at all)

They are probably lying to you. Hoping you give them the CPU so they can spend 2 hours trying to fix it and then charge you $120.
im really surprised what people are able to do to their computers. bend cpu pins? did you sit the cpu wrong on the socket and smash it with a hammer? wtf. in all my entire time i build pc's i never had a cpu with bend pins :steamfacepalm:

if a cpu isnt gliding into its socket without any force something is damn fishy

My CPU was stuck to my heatsink and i used a screwdriver to remove from it.
