i your boards is ddr3 ram, you need pc3 ddr3 ram only, depending on what speed though not sure, you can grab a fresh kit of ddr3 1333mhz and be good or 1600mhkz dont matter

thanks all, now i can upgrade without wasting 60-100 bucks
In the future, go to Crucial.com and do a scan of your system for RAM upgrades. It'll tell you what motherboard you have and what is compatible with it. It'll even recommend upgrades for your system that you can buy from their site.

Yeah and it recommends me to buy stuff that is way worse then the stuff I already have. It just looks what is compatible not what actually make sense.
Beside of that, they often not cheaper or better then other products. Keep your mind open to other products and don't limit yourself to Crucial.

the i3 2120 is a desktop cpu, odds are it uses desktop dimms not so-dimms for notebooks

2nd gen i3 notebook cpus are closer to 1.5ghz not 3ghz

Correct. A quick search for the PC can confirm it.
https://snlookup.com/acer-aspire-x1935-desktop-dt-sjmaa-002-p63519#ffs-tabbed-16

It uses DDR3 DIMM not DDR3L and not SO-DIMM.

Well of course you'll have to look into what makes sense for you. I only suggested going to crucial to find out what's compatible with your motherboard. I personally don't use crucial RAM because I find it to be a bit overpriced. I suggested it out of convenience, or at least to guide you in the right direction to know what to search for.

with intel 2nd-4th gen, make sure its 1.5v or lower
else it will work just fine

higher voltage ram can work, but not at its rated speeds, it will have lower voltage profiles with slower speeds and higher timings

Look at the label on your current ram and see if you can buy another 2 of the same model.
