My ATH-AG1X has quite a loud whitenoise effect on maximum volume
On medium volume the headset sounds great and it does not have any static either, but when I put it up to max volume I hear quite a loud white noise effect and it gets quite irritating, does anyone else with the same headset have this issue? How do I get rid of it?

when did u buy them?
There is no getting rid of it if its an old headset

However
Under sound settings/properties/enhancements for that device

If Loudness Equalization is available enabling it may help, otherwise dont max out the volume, its a headset afterall you dont want to screw your hearing up so maxing it isnt a smart thing to do to begin with

Surely it cant be an old headset, I payed 300 dollars for it what do you mean, who would pay 300 dollars for an "old headset"

almost a year ago, meaning old, meaning not brand new.
understand now?

If messing with any of the settings doesnt fix it then theres not much you can do

Just because something is expensive doesnt mean Age/Use wont affect it in some way.

Ask yourself this
Did you have this problem when you originally got it
or did it recently start doing this?
Whichever answer you give is your answer as to why its doing that with the volume maxed
Could also be the video. music audio you're listening to has some extra oomph added in the sound effects. Try and play different things noting if you still have the sound issue consistanctly.
Check your Realtek HD Audio manager settings is on stereo not quadraphonic or something else.
try a different USB port at the rear of the tower
Are the speakers switched off?
A year old should not make any difference these are not the best even new.
Is this yours or do you have the ear plugs?

I don't have that headset but I did get a Sound Blaster Play!3 to get rid of my horrible realtek mic static on my DIY headset.

If those cans are using the analog outputs on the case, try the rear connectors on the back of the board and see if that resolves the static problem. If you are using the on-board rear connectors maybe a USB sound card may resolve your issue as well.

I fixed it!

Guys I managed to fix it! The headset came with an extender of some sort, and so I was using them the whole time, not sure why, I unplugged it and the headset sounds better AND the static is gone! Yay!

Cable was probably acting either as an antenna or it was causing resistance and noise.
Yes it was probably causing issues with something, not sure what though.
