Hello, I am using the Asus MX 299 monitor which is not amd freesync, and a display port cable from cablematters: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B07JFLHT81/ref=ya_aw_od_pi?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I made a fresh clean install of Windows 10 version 1909 and all is well, and I installed the latest optional driver from amd, for my sapphire R9 390 OC backplate. At the advisor recommendations there was a choice to enable some form of sync - can't remember the term's name - and I applied it.

The issue will occur only when monitor goes out at the specified time, not in any other case.

Also, is it normal for the monitor to wake up when plug in a USB device? I unplug my mouse and keyboard after gaming to clean them, and until this error occurred the monitor would come to life when I plugged in the mouse, but not anymore.
