EVGA has probably somewhat better warranty and return policy if you live in US.
Personally, i only use EVGA cards for the cooling, iCX and the warranty and being able to upgrade the warranty. my 1060 SSC 6GB has a 10 year extended warranty <3
3 Fans doesnt always mean better, and its just more to clean later on.
But if you're absolutely worried about it then do what you gotta do, all in all its up to you
Sorry to sound a tad dim ( It comes purely natural )
But are you swapping out your 1080 for a 2060 . or did it ( 1080) die and the 2060 is a stop gap. It just seems a little retrograde.
I have quite probably gotten the wrong end of the stick .
Money sounds like it's tight right now, perhaps just keep saving up.
GTX 1080 should run everything quite well at 1080p/60
No point getting a 2060 or 2070 since that's not really much if any upgrade at all.
I'd still highly consider EVGA. Either a 3 fanned model or a hybrid model.
My PC with the 1080 sadly was sold off to help with lawyer costs to get custody of my daughter, so I'm in the process of building another. I have everything but the GPU so that's why I'm asking questions about them. I think I'm going with a 2070 super. New egg has some good deals going so I'm gonna spend the extra.
Money isn't tight, but I mainly game at 1080p right now as I always have hooked my PC up to the living room TV and gamed there. If I were to have a 4k monitor I'd definitely go with a 2080, though there was an article I read today that a 2080ti super is on the way.
I ended up going with the 2070 Super OC gaming card from Gigabyte. With a 100mhz overclock it stays between 2055 and 2070mhz. Before temps get into the 50s it hits 2100. Highest temps I've seen are with rise of the tomb raider in which it hit 58c. Looks like a winner.
If you're going to not care what you get, go buy the cheapest AMD RX 570 or 580 and be happy with it. If you are to spend higher amounts of money on a gpu, then do not waste it by buying junk.
Go to EVGA website and look at a particular series you are interested in, such as 2060 Super or 2070 Super and compare the models within the same product base model line.
Such as SC vs SSC vs Gaming vs FTW... etc.
Also many don't seem to look at their Hybrid models, cause most other brands do not have such a model available. Always look at the Hybrid model, it can be worth it.
If all you have cash for is a 2060 something, then I wouldnt even look at Nvidia, cause tge 2060 is crap and still just a 1080p gpu. Look at maybe gtx 1660 super, rx 590, rx 5700 if you don't have enough to step up to 2070 Super
As posted above I got the 2070 super gaming OC from gigabyte.
