Executing a .cue file?
Hello,
i found this one site called "My abandon ware" were they give old games free to download.
So ive downloaded the old game that i was playing many years ago called "lego Rock Riders".
The files i got were a .bin and a .cue file.
I saw that you need the .cue file to execute.
I tried installing "power iso" but that was seen as a virus from my anti virus program.
So any idea on how to launch the .cue file?

I used to use Daemon Tools Lite for this. You actually don't really need the .cue file at all, the .bin is the one that holds all the data.

Daemon Tools Lite creates a virtual optical drive on your system. When you open the .cue or .bin file within Daemon Tools Lite, it mounts the image to the virtual drive (like putting a CD into a computer).

Your alternative is to burn the image file onto a CD/DVD and run from there.

.cue files are virtual CDs, you need virtual CD software to mount the file. Apps like PowerISO and Alcohol 120% are your only option. None of them should be malicious if you download them from their official website. I think the PowerISO installer may contain (PUP) potentially unwanted programs and may be why your AV flags it.

This, You can also extract them with WinRAR or something and just run it from a folder.

Can i also do it on the USB like i did with installing windows 10? (Instead of using a cd)

Fairly sure that's a DirectX file. Download and install DirectX if you don't already have it.

Remember, directx don't support retro-compatibility, meaning you need to install dx9 for older games.

I found a solution on starting the game.
If anyone wants to were from: https://www.rockraidersunited.com/guides/run-lego-rock-raiders-with-dgvoodoo-r7/
Install DirectX Redist June 2010, clean WinOS are missing those files and many older games would require them. Use the full installer, not the web updater
