it is an upgrade but not really worth it if you consider other options that cost basically the same for more performance...

You can get an RX 570 8GB for cheaper than a 1060 3GB, and it would dominate it, because 3GB is barely enough, and considering 4GB 570s, they have better value and the same performance.

Some RX 580 8Gs are in that price window as well.

Not worth, its almost a sidegrade. Its faster in most games as the 1050 Ti, but appreantly in a few games its slower thanks to the 3GB RAM.

A RX 570 will cost less and perform better.

i googled and it says a 570 is not better than a 1060, just cheaper. The 580 is actually like equal to a 1060

i have to disagree on "the gtx 1060 3gb is ♥♥♥♥ cuz allmost all games need more vram" if you compare the rx 570 4gb vs gtx 1060 3gb they trade blows and the gtx 1050 ti has no chance vs both...

that said as stated by most and in my first comment i would not buy a gtx 1060 3gb except IF the price matches...

If going to upgrade, make a jump worth spending money on, to which gtx 1060 3gb would be nearly the same performance so don't waste it on that, it was junk upon release.

Get RX 580 8GB or GTX 1660 Ti

Otherwise why even bother changing gpus if u don't bump up to that level of gpu, or higher

Can you name these "few games", please? I never saw any. GTX 1060 3GB was significantly faster in all games which I know.

I would get a 1660 if it's around the same price.

Still though, 3gb vram?
Why bother when the 580 8GB is cheaper and way better option

Why they made a >STRONGER GPU with >LESS VRAM, I have no idea, but >Nvidia!

I forgot bout the 1660. At one time, I wanted it. But I play only a few games for a longgg time.

I'll get the 1660 6gb if I can.

1060 is just outdated and most gtx 10XX can't be found brand new anymore.

580, 590 or 1660 Ti is a good bet.
