Sudden low video memory? WTF

Hi dear people,

like every other day i started my PC today, and without a warning ich get "low video memory 1760" alert and can`t start games, or they start in terrible graphic settings.

Updated Windows already, my graphic card driver is the newest available according to my system, had 2 malware programs run over my system and the task manager shows nothing that would be a hint.

Never had this problem before, is anyone able to help, cause i´m totaly clueless now.

make sure the display is plugged into the dedicated gpu not the mobo

get the driver from nvidia

do not install nvidia geforce experience

this means its using the intel hd not the nvidia gpu

check who much V-memory your game is running, turn down the graphics

Yeah, is start turning down graphics, on games that ran on this gpu without a problem for years, why should i do that? ;-)

Basicaly nothing on my setup changed, just the outcome that it is not running anymore. :D

2GB VRAM for 4K resolution is way to low as soon as you want to start a half demanding game. Also the GPU is ancient, possible that it starts to fail.

Shouldn't be running games above 1080p on such old gpu. Get at least a 1060 6gb or better, depending on how demanding the games are. For more demanding games then you want at least an rtx 2070

Worked totaly fine on Division 2 and some other AAA titles from 2 to 3 months ago.

Starting to fail would be a thing, but also a disaster, haven`t got the money for a new pc lying around, cause i just moved to a new flat and bought furniture like crazy. :D

I'd start with a clean install of the latest build of Win10 64bit. You can upgrade that 8.1 to 10 for free still

750ti was made for gaming at 720p ish res with games near max

for 4k gaming, you want the best gpu available for higher settings, 2080ti or better
may be cpu limited also, 4460 has similar ipc to ryzen 2xxx but is clocked lower and locked

Yea 4460 is going to be nothing short of terrible for high end gpus, let alone gaming @ 4K

Seriously just run the desktop and games @ 1080p max
