NZXT Kraken M22
so i want an aio and i think i have decided i want the m22 but i am unsure about the connectors and wires. i checked installation guides and even nzxt's installation guide but it wasn't very clear. i don't know if i need a pump connector, if i need a mini usb to usb ect.

basically i need to know about all of the connectors and where they go

Motherboards offering a header for AIO_Pump really doesn't mean much, nor is it required. Only the latest few gens of mobo offer such header label, yet we've been using AIO LC stuff for nearly 10 years now. Most AIO, they would have a single 4pin PWM to plug into CPU_FAN, the extra Rad fans plug into the splitter on the Pump/Block, the extra fans get power via a sata power connector.

Very simple, nothing hard about any of these AIO units

With that said, it doesn't matter where you plug in a cpu cooler or fans as long as something is actively working and plugged into the primary cpu fan header. But it is best to plug cpu related cooler to cpu fan, for obvious reasons. In the end as long as you know which header is which fan so you know what you're looking at when controlling them in bios or via software then that's really all that matters

Get an AIO that has a 240mm radiator (or 280mm if your case can fit one), that one is and overpriced considering how weak it is for overclocking. These ones are good brands with good reviews:

Cooler Master MasterLiquid 240 [uk.pcpartpicker.com]

Corsair H100i PRO [uk.pcpartpicker.com]

EVGA CLC 240 [uk.pcpartpicker.com]

NZXT installation guide is as clear as it can be. You connect the waterblock on the socket. Then connect the fan cable to the CPU-Fan header. Then the USB-b mini cable into the waterblock and to an USB 2.0 internal slot. The last cable into the waterblock and then to the Fans and a Sata cable to the PSU.

If you already have troubles to understand that simple manual that comes with the AiO then watch a video. It not going to get easier then that.

However the AiO cooler is massivly outperformed by 50USD Air cooler. If you just want an AiO for the sake of having an AiO for whatever reason than at least do it right with a 280mm or 360mm AiO when your case support it. Otherwise you will do better with air coolers.

The whole idea of AiO is to place at at the front or top where it also replacing case fans...
