best to use 3000+ with cl16-
As for RAM, any kit will do as long as it's 3000~3200 MHz and no higher than CL16. Keep in mind that there are still rare cases of RAM incompatibilities causing POST failures, especially if the board doesn't have a later BIOS revision that patches AGESA.
thanks. i will have a look. i need a µATX board and i wanted to be sure, that i dont need a bios update for the ryzen 5 2600 to work. the pro 4 doesnt need bios update, too.
B450 is second gen AM4, so no it definitely won't need a BIOS update. Still good idea to keep BIOS up to date on AM4 boards because there's often improvements to the overall system.
