Microphone At2020 problems
Its my first time trying out a condensed Microhpone so I Bought the AT2020 ( sadly the non usb Version).
I bought the Phantompower 48V
just to realise this ** didnt come with an output cable. So I ordered an XLR to 6.35mm.....in which i dint know i need a 3.5 mm to plug it into my microphone JACK. After that I ordered a 6.35mm to 3.5mm converter...yah arrived today plugged it in...not working. It Seems to recognized the Phantompower as a microphone..but makes no different if I plug the at2020 in or not.

Pls tell me what I need to do or buy before i throw my new at2020 in the thrashbin :(

I have a feeling it has something to do with the 6.35mm to 3.5mm converter... Make sure it is set as your default mic in your settings too. You say you "sadly didn't get the USB one" but I promise you the XLR one is better.

You may need to try a XLR to 3.5mm cable instead, but it's a shame you bought that XLR to 6.35mm and converter.

dun worry the converter is only cost me around 2-3 bucks. I could buy a new XLR To 3.5 if it means getting it to work :(

The XLR is not better then the USB one. It is the very same mic.
