because its drawing the image not to scale with the display, then scaling it to match the display blending pixels

disable it

Cause its scaling to your Display, not much you can do about it. It's good in games, but not much else, such as using for everyday OS usages.

You probably have a poor Display to begin with and that makes it worse. Things like high pixel pitch for example. Nvidia DSR is good for testing 1440p, 4k, 5k before upgrading your display. But for everyday usage, you will want to just upgrade to a screen that has better image quality, higher res, higher refresh, etc.

What Display do you have and which res are you trying to use, and also in which game?

Any 1080p or higher display can use nvidia dsr feature, but understand what those upscale res are.

When using a 1920x1080 Display...
1.78 = 1440p (2K)
4.00 = 2160p (4K)

Once enabled, switch desktop to the dsr res, so it's available in-game. Then load up a game and try switching to that dsr res you now have available. If you had forms or AA, MSAA, TXAA enabled before, you might want to lower those to help fps now that you're using a high screen res. Then see how it does and looks. But again it still won't be as good as having a better display that actually has a higher native res.
