Best soundcard?

I have a pair of Audio Technica ATH M50Xs, my old ASUS Xonar DX broke so I'd like to buy a new soundcard. The onboard sound of my Gigabyte Z390 board is ♥♥♥♥♥ compared to the soundcard so id like to buy another one.

What is better between the;

Creative Sound Blaster Audigy FX

and

Asus Xonar DGX

which one is a better choice? Or are there better options out there (that are reasonably priced)

Yeah, £80 plus 16 shipping and Import fees, it'll turn Into 120 and by all accounts they aren't worth that, especially just to test.

Well, I have DT 990 Pro, DT 1990 Pro and Betron HD800X Bluetooth and obviously the £500 DT 1990 Pro headphones sound the best, but the £20 HD800X I got on a Amazon sale sound effing good, they sound as good as DT 990 Pro’s... £120 headphones. I use the HD800X on my iPhone XS Max and iPad Pro because they sound a lot better than the £200 iPhone EarPods and the charge lasts way longer.

DT 1990 Pro headphones combined with the best DAC available right now, Sound Blaster G6 130dB..... Pure audio heaven.

as I said, it's not even the best one they sell and how am I jealous when I own a better schiit audio modi/magni dac/amp? Doesn't really add up, just pointing out you shouldn't go claiming somthing is the best in an advice thread when it clearly isn't, I'm not saying it's not good, just that it's not the best, neither is my setup for the record, it's technically several thousand to cheap to even begin looki g at that award, but us one of the best in the price bracket.

The Sound Blaster G6 is way superior to your schiit audio modi/magni dac/amp.

The G6 DNR/SNR is 130dB, schiit audio modi/magni dac/amp 102dB LOL..... No comparison. SNR and DNR rating DO matter, stop lying to yourself. A mate of mine has your DAC and the G6 and AE-5 shame it in sound quality. We've done several tests with 10 different people.

I've had this before with you thinking your LG TV was better than my high end PC monitors.... this jealousy of yours is getting out of hand now.

I never argued my TV was better than a 4k monitor, hell, I don't tend to claim I have the best of anything unless it actually is, which other than gpu models doesn't tend to be true (unless you wish to suggest the 1080ti and 2080ti aren't the best available at the time).

Max volume isn't a guide to quality.

The schiit kit is widely acknowledged as fantastic in the audiophile community, soundblaster by fans of soundblaster, I'll let that speak for itself, again, never said my kit is the best, just better than the G6.

I do t think you understand what narcasism or jealousy actually is, what am I jealous of exactly?

Anyway, this is off topic, I merely pointed out that factually, the G6 isn't the best as creative themselves make better models.

Then I replied to put you straight.
The schiit kit was semi good years and years ago, but it's just standard now, tech improves and the Sound Blaster cards like ZXR, AE-5 and G6 shame it. With you keep saying what you own is better proves my point about you being a NARC and a fanboy of Sh!T, which is a very fitting name for that product You got no prove what you have is better , you're just saying it's better because you own it NARC.
I do have facts and the facts speak for themselves, but now you say DNR and SNR don't mean a thing LOLOLOL You always discredit anything that's better because that's what NARCS do.. As for cars, it depends on purpose, in many ways a mini is better, fuel economy, seats, storage ease of parking in a city, for out right performance, yes a ferrari would beat it, but
You could build a faster mini for less money also....

Anyway, enough proving you wrong, again, never said my stuff is the best, but for a dac / amp my modi 2 / magni 2 do provide better sound, I suspect the new versions are better still, as are the higher tier products from many different companies, oh, and this tends to be the result of many audiophile reviews also, I didn't just stumble on a small brand or go with a big name like you did, I did my research and went with the option very well reviewed.

Again, I'm not saying the G6 isn't good, I'm just stating it isn't the 'best', neither is my setup, that title would go to something costing tens of thousands.

The X7 isn’t better, just more expensive. The X7 has a 127dB outdated DAC, the G6 has a 130dB higher end DAC. There’s a video on YouTube of someone who tested the G6 against the X7 and he says the G6 sounds superior in every way in stereo mode. Go check it out.

The G6 is far better than the Modi 2/ Magni 2. The G6 has a superior 130dB DAC with X-AMP, the one you have only has 102dB which is worse than onboard motherboards from 10 yrs ago. Like I said, your DAC is old and outdated., tech moves on and gets much better. You clearly haven’t used the G6 for the jealous crap you say. I’ve heard the DAC you have in person and it sounds much worse than the AE-5 and G6 in person. Stop hating.

Even the upcoming AE-9 is 129dB... G6 is 130dB and DNR/SNR is very important in audio quality. How you think a DAC with a crappy 102dB can sound better than a DAC with 130dB is crazy.

If your eally rate the sound quality of a DAC by its dB then you dont sound very convincing to me.

SNR/DNR is very important in sound quality. Low dB of 102dB isn’t a clear signal. The noise gate would be terrible. The audio quality wouldn’t be clear or good in anyway. 102dB is very low. The funny thing is, who here besides me has used the G6???? Watch videos on YouTube, read reviews about the G6 etc....Everybody praises the sound quality, not just “sound blaster” fanboys.
