Logitech Extreme 3D Pro Joystick *Solved*
For anyone out there that has this problem.
Dated 6/05/2019

I was about to send my Joystick back for warranty repair.

I installed the Logitech Gaming Software from
https://support.logitech.com/en_US/product/extreme-3d-pro/downloads
Software Version: 5.10.127
Last Update: 14-MAR-2016

and got all sorts of "corrupted driver" / "driver cannot start" errors.
The software could not detect the Joystick at all.

After some reading I found that disabling
Windows Defender > Core Isolation > Memory Integrity
fixed the problem.

The joystick and software worked well, but the security feature could not be turned back on.
I had to reformat from an external source to get it back.

Logitech support tried to help, and I've sent them these details.

So with a fresh install, and Memory Integrity on,
I installed the software, went into device manager, manually removed (and deleted the files) for the "bad" drivers, and uninstalled the Logitech Software.

Only having the Windows Driver:
Logitech Extreme 3D Pro USB
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\hidusb.sys
Driver Provider: Logitech
Driver Date: 27/04/2010
Driver Version: 5.9.129.0

(yes you're right it says 2010)

Creating a shortcut to:
C:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exe shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL joy.cpl

With the icon from:
%SystemRoot%\System32\joy.cpl

Shortcut instructions from:
https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/57153-game-controllers-shortcut-create.html

ATM Open the shortcut and the Joystick is working, and can even be calibrated.

My advice is to plug the Joystick in, and create the shortcut, that might be all you need.

Tested on
Microsoft Windows 10 Pro
Version 10.0.17134 Build 17134

You need to upgrade to Windows 10 17763 (Windows 10 version 1809).
