If I just bought the GPU off Amazon, how do I prove to Nvidia my proof of purchase so I can use my warranty?
use ddu in safe mode to remove the drivers
Do you think it might just be the newest driver is bad, or do you think my hardware is faulty?
download the driver from a few revs back
here is 419.67 (do not install yet)
https://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/145534/en-us
boot to safe mode and use ddu to remove the driver
and install the driver driver
(do not install gfe)
as previously mentioned, use DDU in safe mode and go from there
And using GFE to update drivers IS NOT a good enough reason to use it
Get rid of it, it can come with its own problems
RMA the card to Amazon, or EVGA.
Also RMA means return merchandise authorization where you send it back to the company for repair.
Try fixing it yourself with suggestions mentioned above BEFORE trying to return it.
Also, as its an EVGA card i HOPE you registered it on their website for RMA/Support/Warranty purposes.
Just saw someone on Sweclockers had returned three 2080Ti for artifact problems.
Make me unsure about picking up a used RTX 2070 from MSI vs the Gainward RTX 2070 I already have in the computer. Gainward offer 5 years warranty I think or do so if you register or something whereas MSI offer 12 months possibly more if one register the product but maybe just for the original owner?
If the cards drop dead like crazy then it's even more important. But even if they aren't I'd definitely prefer to pick the one with a longer warranty. Zotac and Palit I think had decent ones. The cards may also be slightly cheaper I guess.
RMA = return merchandise authorization
What they mean is return it for warranty repair, replacement or money back.

The Black card here in Sweden: 06G-P4-2061-KR
So matching: "3 Year Standard Limited Warranty Product Suffixes" for the US.
Also matching: "3 Year Transferable Limited Warranty Product Suffixes"
You have to enter that and as mentioned the date you purchased it and where from
You can register it at any time as long as you have the mentioned info, its just a good thing to do if you are going to RMA it, you do it through that.
If you want to use EVGA Precision you also need that serial
