use a phone charger, the ds4 can charge from any powered usb source

if using a pc or ps(when on) it will be on and charge slower
ps4 in rest/sleep mode will also charge (if powered usb option is on)
ps4 off will not charge

yes, but fc/qc use a usb signal to enable the feature on the charger (to put 9-20v to the usb device)
ds4 does not do that

it can harm other devices if fc/qc is enabled when also using a usb hub thats connected to other devices

on fc/qc devices it can be disabled in its charge options

i think most phone chargers push more then 5v into the USB device like the DS4 most phone chargers these days push 10v or more i think but USB ports in any device like from you PC would push 5v ? idk just an opinion ... all i know from what i read on the internet is that it's harmful for the DS4 that u use wall outlets for it .. and some people had issues after they did it .. idk .... i think we got away from the main topic lol .... i asked a freind who owns a PS4 and he told me that the DS4 is charging but slowly and it's normal :)

its the phone or device that asks for higher voltage from the charger

quick charge/fast charge reduce battery life by charging the lipo/liion battery faster than its charge rating
most lipo/liion are 1c (1x mah rating, will take 1 hour to charge)

It's fine that the controller stays on, as long as it is connected via usb cable then it should charge the controller battery
