Do you see the games in the front page of the Geforce experience?
Maybe some game cant be optimized further.
Yes external games may not be detected do a search for all game point to external drive.
Click the Gear next to your Avatar. Then click on Games
You should see 2 panels Games Found and the scannow below is add where you see the list currently installed games.
Everyone has a right to choose what they want use.
I use the Geforce Experience only cause it offers the screenshot overlay and I can take screenshots without the hud .
You don't need GFE, period.
Wipe out everything, intel, amd, nvidia with the ddu app and select safe mode, reboot. Then wipe each brand one by one.
Then reboot and install all latest drivers for Chipset, GPU, Audio, Lan, etc...
Nvidia install, select to install without GFE and the deselect all boxes except for Forceware and PhysX
Sure, you shouldn't allow it to change graphics settings, but that alone doesn't make it bloatware.
I don't understand people hatred towards it, could you explain why?
Disable Windows feature to handle drivers or Windows Updates will jump ahead of you and install a driver you can't update through nvidia.com
Disable that feature and reboot, then run ddu and reboot in safe mode.
When installing drivers, download the whole package from nvidia.com
Do not download GFE and have that install drivers. If you use GFE, fine, but disable it's ability to auto updates drivers and set that to notify only.
