If you really want to watercool the card and are able to, return it and get something more popular (ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI).
Through a little search, I just found out that I have one of the "Founders Edition", which just allows me to put a block from 2080, but it’s just that doubts gnaw at me a little.
I do not plan to change it within a year, unless the manufacturer does as it was with the advent of the 1000 series, which even the average produced the same result or close to it as the 900 series from the upper segment.
https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-980-vs-Nvidia-GTX-1060-6GB/2576vs3639 (my old video card was 1060-6 GB, and before that 560 Ti)
And if the video card works for me with good cooling (I hope the water will give it, if it’s not, then it makes no sense to put water on me, since I already have a good purge of this case in the form of 6 fans for 140 mm each, but I can still put 4 pcs), then it will last a long time and will not show me image artifacts.
You've gone for the most basic card possible so I wouldn't expect miracles from overclocking it, if you don't mind the noise, just turn up the fan and leave it stock, potentially look at an aftermarket aio or air cooler for it, but, putting a custom loop on a (relitivly) cheap card makes no sense.
Buy a gpu model that already includes a full coverage water block, or buy a gpu that has the FE like Reference Design/Layout as this is what water block makers will go by because gpus with custom coolers will differ in PCB layouts.
Through a little research, I found that this model was made on the basis of the "Founders Edition", but the previous speaker raised a grain of doubt about the need for this operation.
And so I think about this version of the water block here https://shop.bitspower.com/index.php?route=product/product&search=2080RD&p=123&product_id=7128
but at the same moment maybe it will be a different manufacturer.
