These are not 1:1 results, it's based on rough averages, but this is just to show how below minimum specs you actually are, and that's why it's crashing.
You have to upgrade to a new system entirely.

This is a good place to start; it'll easily max out Rust's settings at 1080p, and probably 1440p as well. I used to play it when I had a 1070 Ti, which is around the same performance, and had no issues with maxing out the settings at 1080p.
Then you're completely out of luck, sorry to say.
Rust runs horribly even on the 1050 Ti/1650, it'll never run well enough on a 750 Ti, and having a weak dual core doesn't help.
But you need a strong cpu and 16gb ram. An ssd always helps too.
As yes anything newer or present on the market would require new motherboard and ddr4 ram.
Overall, let's be honest, your pc is crap for playing games on smoothly. I'd save up and build a new one with all modern parts/specs
