Steam link + logitech mk270
I have just bought the above mouse and keyboard combo. I was curious as to whether other users have had issues connecting these devices directly to the steam link?

The devices come with a 2.4 Ghz dongle so it seems to be same bandwidth as WiFi??

So should I connect the dongle to the link and use it that way or dongle in the streaming machine and use the peripherals in the same room as the link? My first thoughts are link + logitech dongle will be fine.

Many thanks.

Simply plug it into the link.

Well you already made the purchase, just plug it in and use it, what's the concern or problem?

Actually the issue I have is unrelated to the wireless kb/m. I was doing a google on the subject to confirm whether or not the mrs should bring it back in the shopping she was doing. I couldn't find anything specific to the compatibility of the two on google so thought I would ask fellow users if they had or do use the same set-up.

Ironically, the compatibility was the least of my issues as I have been experiencing remote play / steam link drop outs. Having plugged the dongle into the link and started playing I am experiencing chug when I am playing. I won't go into too many details here, as I started a thread in the remote play pages about the subject. Suffice it to say I am experiencing issues with games that previously ran flawlessly. Actual lag like the round trip to my computer has been extended beyond the 20' or so that the cables actually run.

Any usb keyboard, mouse should work on steam link, just like it would on a PC, wired or wireless doesn't matter.

It is picky with controllers. But kb/m shouldn't be of any issues.

it works fine
just be sure to turn off the wireless keyboard and mouse, so they do not wake the link on accident
almost any usb activity will wake the link (any key or mouse move/button)

only thing that i found that does not wake the link, is the chinese x360 clone controller with ms reciever
china clone and genuine x360 controllers can wake the link using the same receiver
