Problem installing Microsoft Visual c++ 2012 Redistributable 2012.

When I try installing Microsoft Visual c++ 2012 Redistributable 2012 it gets stuck on initialising or gives me an error saying I need to fix the problem before installing. I need this in order to install FIFA 20 and without this it does not let me finish the installation process. Here is the log file if this helps :

When it says this, one of the currently installed dot NET Frameworks or other Visual C Runtimes might be corrupted.

Uninstall all Visual C Runtimes listed in control panel, programs and features. Once those are all removed, click Turn Windows Features On/Off on the left hand side panel of that window. Then untick all boxes for any NET framework, click OK to apply. Then reboot.

Then reinstall them all again, starting with the NET/ASP Frameworks via that programs andfeatures window. Ticking the boxes back on and clicking Ok will reinstall those. As far as any Visual C Runtimes those can be found within the game folders of games that use them.

Thanks for the reply. However I am worried that if I uninstall all of them, I may not be able to reinstall them again because of this bug.

EDIT: I am trying to uninstall 2008 Visual and it is taking quite a while. I don't think it is uninstalling either! It is stuck on "Preparing to remove"

Yea then it's screwed up some how. As it only takes 5-10 secs to remove one of those when click uninstall.

Reboot and run Disk Cleanup via the run as admin option. Tick all boxes except for "Downloads" and click OK to remove all that junk. Then reboot and try to re-run an original VC runtime 2008 installer, when the options comes up, click Repair.

See if that works

No use the latest official redist of each package from MS, not any other source.

It only take like 5 mins to grab every redist you will ever need for VC.

That's what I have done. However like I said, I cannot uninstall/install them at all. The only one I am missing is 2012 and when I tried to uninstall any other ones it just wouldn't initialize either. i am pretty sure there might be a problem with the Windows Installer however I have tried to fix it as well with some fixes and still nothing has worked. I have tried to cleandisk, put in certain commands into command prompt and it still does ♥♥♥♥ all. I'm fairly pissed now that I have wasted about liek 6 hours trying to fix it and the only fix that I can actually see working is factory reseting the PC but I don't have the option to do so as I have many files and work that I need to do currently. It would just take too much time.

I mean I use Excel and that runs fine. It's just that soem games don't either install nor run properly.

You realize it takes about an hour or two to reinstall the whole os and get back to where you were?
As long as you reinstall and don't format, the previous os along with all c drive files get backed up to "c:/windows.old"

What also helps before doing that is you can backup your windows user which has all your localized settings you've changed for various os settings for that user. Then after an os reinstall, restore the user.

Do a full os reinstall via your own usb flash drive that contains win10 64bit 1903

But what you could try first is system restore

Yes. See I think the problem is with the Windows Installer as none of the vc redis uninstall/repair.
Leading me to believe it may be the Windows Installer.
