I need a new Cooler for Ryzen 7 3700x
Hey
As mentioned in the title i need a new Cooler for my Ryzen 7 7300x
My Budget is around 70Euro (+-30)
I've got already a "Cooler" but my CPU is getting Hot and Loud.
It sounds like I'm starting a plane and its getting hot like 80°c
The Boxed Cooler is also not an Option xP

I want a Cooler which is Silent and can bring down the temperature of my CPU.
I've found some Coolers on the Internet but I can't decide which one I should Choose.
I don't need RGB stuff or smth like this it just needs to be Silent and Cool.

It would be nice if anyone could help me out.
(and Sorry for my Bad English xD)

My Components are:
▪ AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8x 3.60GHz
▪ Graphic Card : MSI GTX 1660Ti
▪ Mainboard: MSI MPG X570 GAMING EDGE WIFI
▪ CPU-Cooler :Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML240L RGB
▪ RAM : 16GB Corsair Vengeance
▪ Case : Carbide Clear 400C

Okay I had to put headphones on to hear it since I have a "white noise" machine in my room. Your stock cooler fan is loud but how loud is it in decibels? Can you measure that? But even with my white noise machine off I can hear my case fans more than my stock cooler fan. But for the stock cooler fan to be really loud like OP said then things would get "spicy" so of course that would mean the stock cooler fan would have to work harder.

By all logic the stock cooler fan is not an option for OP. I now understand more as to why the Ryzen 5 3600 is the best all around CPU for gamers.

I've recorded it from 1Meter away.
i could try a APP for checking the decibels but idk if this is precise engouh?

Be quiet dark rock pro 4 it'll destroy that liquid cooler whilst being silent.

Make sure you're applying thermal paste as well. One way i did it was apply a little of the paste, and use a credit card or any card to spread the paste into a thin layer on the CPU then apply cooler. I did this on a hyper 212 evo and got 20 on idle, 40 while gaming on a 6700k

You don't need to spread paste unless it's liquid metal or something too thick for mounting pressure to do the work.

The mounting pressure from the cooler/block is more than enough to spread most pastes, and that is a fact. I have never spread average pastes like NT-H1 or Arctic MX, all I do is the basic pea size dot in the center of the IHS, and they always came out with full coverage when I took the cooler off.

Nor do you need much paste, because all the paste is for is filling in microscopic gaps in the IHS.

Mounting pressure will squeeze the paste out into a circle, it is best to do the even spread method.

Does this even fit in my Case?
I've seen a Video between DRP4 and this NH–D15S and the DRP4 was more quiet on Heavy Load. But still it sounds like a good choice.
NH-D15S need about 165 mm vertical space, check your case specs. Normally NH-D15S is one or two degrees lower than DRP4 during heavy load when noise normalized.
I had experiences with both DRP4 and D15S. D15S is easier to install and has better PCI-E slot and RAM clearance. But DRP4 is way better looking.

The stock cooler should be more than enough. Unless you're OC'ing. If you're hitting ~70c while gaming, that's normal and safe. You can also set a custom fan curve in your BIOS.

He said that the boxed option wasn’t enough.

First off, buy and apply good paste. The stock coolers come with crappy pre-applied paste.

Get Arctic Silver 5 or Arctic Cooling MX4

Do you have enough case fans with decent airflow, that's a must.

Is that for all stock coolers or am I just lucky with mine? Never really seen it get to 80+ like OP's. I guess since it's a 3600 it's not as hot as a 3700x.

3600 and 3600X has a higher tdp power draw then 3700X also

I guess I'm just lucky then.

The 3600 comes with a crappy cooler, unlike the 3600X and 3700X

Honestly you could just get a Hyper212 EVO as long as it ships with the am4 bracket it should do very well. You don't need no 50+ $ cooler for a 3600, even of u OC it
