ebuyer - experience?
Does anyone have experience shopping on ebuyer? I would put the link but idk if its against forum rules. I'm looking to buy a GPU from them if they're legit.

Great, thanks for replying. They seem to be the only place with the new 2080 supers in stock so i just wanted to see if theyre known for scamming. I've looked on trustpilot etc. but they seem mostly faked reviews
scan.co.uk have numerous versions of 2080 Super in stock some cheaper than ebuyer..
I buy all my computer parts from them, Amazing service.. :)

I bought my mobo from them and was going to buy from them yesterday but stopped as the merchant was listed as "Scan Computers Ltd Internatio", not "Scan Computers Ltd International". I contacted their support and they put it down to my banks authorisation page having a character limit, which i know isnt the case as ive seen longer lines of characters from my banks authorisation page. After that, I checked again and their site changed from "Purchase now" to pre-order anyway. And to be honest, I don't fancy waiting 3 weeks to get my hands on one as i've been putting off buying the 2080 for a month now

Have used ebuyer numerous times highly recommended.

Correct address for Scan is:

https://www.scan.co.uk/

I was on the correct site from what I know, triple checked it was actually https://scan.co.uk/ and looked at the https certfiicate. I'm not sure what happened tbh. I think I'm going to buy from eBuyer, i'll just hope it comes in fully working order as their customer service is apparently trash
Used them for years and never had an issue. I tend to buy my computer stuff from these 3 retailers depending on price and deals at the time.

Try checking on https://www.scamadviser.com/ it doesn't have reviews but it's pretty good at showing if a site is dodgy or not

Deleted my last post by mistake.

Never had to contact ebuyer support so cannot comment on the service.

Looks like you are been redirected regarding Scan as I posted the correct address as did the previous poster. Maybe check you computer for malware with malwarebytes free.

I've scanned my pc multiple times with malwarebytes and windows defender, neither find a virus. Same thing happened a few months ago, I tried signing into steam through web and i got redirected. I'm thinking theres a virus but can't find any with multiple anti-virus apps ;/

Steam redirect? Something is off.

Which web browser are you using?

I use Vivaldi with DuckDuckgo as my search engine and do not have redirects at all.

Maybe try Kaspersky free (not trial) for virus scan if you have not already. I consider it the best alongside malwarebytes.
I'm willing to bet he's got an add-on in his browser thats a bit ♥♥♥♥♥♥. So disable all your add-ons and see if it still does it.

I came to this thread to see if Ebuyer was any good; second opinions anyone?
I use Chrome and disabled all add-ons/reinstalled chrome and deleted all chrome files afterwards.
