steam games appearing as uninstalled

ok so i launched steam today and found my games are uninstalled on steam yet i still have all the files located on my pc , now i checked the forums and followed a few steps one relating to the user common files yet that is nowhere on my drive , also its asking me to download the game yet it states that i do not have the required space yet my drive is only 20% full so i have ample enough space , this is not the first time this has happend as it did it to me 3

Restart Steam if you haven't already. As long as the app manifest files are in the Steamapps folder Steam should detect your games just fine.

If you have multiple drives make sure the Steam library folder is still configured.

yeh i tried that , still says games are uninstalled

Installed games are appearing as uninstalled

Usually happens when it doesn't sync correctly due to exiting Steam in the wrong way.
