K68 keyboard, iCue and Steam conflict
So, I have Win 10 build 17763 and latest version of iCue software installed. Often when I start the PC my Corsair K68 keyboard is not detected by iCue and the RGB lighting is at the default bright red. Windows does see it and it works as a keyboard. If I replug the keyboard it usually is detected by iCue and the lighting is then set to my profile. A warm start of the PC also usually works. I'm getting really tired of this though. Any suggestions on how to fix this? I've tried most solutions I've read online, except reinstalling windows. I know iCue has lots of problems but I need it for my cooler.

And the Steam conflict? If the keyboard is not detected by iCue, the Steam client won't finish launching. The little notice pops up about connecting, and then nothing unless I replug the keyboard, and then the client opens normally.

Hello, I know it's been a little while since your message, but were you able to solve this issue? I'm having a very similar problem with the K55 keyboard, but both Corsair and the customer support for the motherboard (MSI) haven't been able to give me an answer, blaming each other. Have you had any luck over these years, or did you simply change the keyboard as a solution?

Forgot all about this post. Nice necro but I'm fine with it. :)

No, I've not been able to fix the problem. Upgraded windows, the motherboard, cpu, gpu, mouse - ok, just kidding, got a new computer and reused my K68. It still has problems. It will work for some days, and then a stupid windows update will break it again. Or something else updates and breaks it. icue is complete trash but I really like the feel of the keyboard so I've been stubbornly hanging on to it. To be fair, it may just be flaky hardware in this case.

I no longer have corsair cooling so I'll probably finally give up and get a new keyboard, maybe logitech since I use logitech mice. Then I can ditch icue and only have to run one bloated "driver" package.

Sorry I can't be of any help.

I was really hoping that you had found a solution. I think I'll have to change my keyboard as well, then. It's a problem that only occurs with this one, and sooner or later I'll lose patience, especially because it affects other software besides Steam.
Thank you so much for responding!
