X360CE 4.10.0.0 Alpha released May 26 is a definite improvement in input delay

Instructions are straightforward, it takes about 3 minutes to read and set up. No more having to copy x360ce executable to installed games folder etc. i believe compatibility is much better too, i added games exes to it that didnt work with version 3 before.

You will need x360ce
The recent "alpha" version is best, since it doesn't involve file copying to game folder or any of that nonsense.

Install and Use Instructions

Download latest Xbox 360 Controller Emulator (same file for 32-bit and 64-bit Windows) from:

x360ce 4.x.x.x - Releases Page

Extract ZIP file and launch x360ce.exe file.

Enabling Virtual Drivers:

[Issues] tab will start blinking it Virtual Drivers are missing.
Press [Issues] tab and hit [Install] button to install Virtual Controller Drivers.

Mapping DirectInput Device:

Connect your DirectInput Device to PC
Select [Controller 1] tab and press [Add..] button.
Select controller you want to map and press [OK] button.
Click "[x] Enable 1 Mapped Device" checkbox inside [Controller 1] tab.

Configuring Mapping:

Map buttons and axis by clicking on dropdowns, selecting [Record] and pressing on button or moving axis. 10 Hit [Save] button (at top right corner of application) when done.

Minimize "Xbox 360 Controller Emulator" in order to reduce CPU use. Note: Grey controller icon will be visible in tray.

Launch the game and see how it works.

How to Uninstall Virtual Driver: Run "Xbox 360 Controller Emulator" as an Administrator, go to [Options] tab and press [Uninstall] button inside "Virtual Device" group box.

Shouldn't need x360ce any longer.
That was a need before steam and othes had better controller support. Shouldn't be any need for it now.

Anyway i love this software, my controller needs remaping, as it isnt a standard xbox controller though it looks like one. This all in one x360ce version does that for me, from one place i can manage all my games and their controls..

x360 emu required copying files to game folders and all that nonsense, also needed to use fixes because it didnt work with some games, for example needed to rename files, and checkmark options to make some games work. THis alpha version however... install, set it and forget it. So don't attempt to compare it to the old version unless you tried it, because it is not nearly the same.
